I'm not eco-friendly
So a new Lolita fashion magazine has been launched, Sucrerie. It's an online magazine and the content is pretty good and the photos are nice but I hate wrestling with the flash interface. In my mind magazines have always been something that I get to read where-ever I want. I sit down in a comfortable place for some 'me' time and browse through a magazine at my leisure, I've never been a fan of online magazines. (Another reason I don't read many online books or comics, I love hard copies and I don't mind paying for the pleasure either.) The thing which caught my eye the most about the magazine is the model on page 38:
slug lips
The poor girl, it looks like two slugs have crawled onto her face and decided to have sex. D:

Last night Rowan and I briefly talked about wedding stuff. I'm really thrilled that he wants to be a big part of the planning process it well, it's going to make it all the more rewarding. I discovered this website today, Offbeat Bride this morning and I must say I love it! The different weddings are so inspiring and fills me with more confidence that I won't be burned at the stake for having a non-traditional wedding. As far as wedding plans go in general we haven't really started on anything. I guess we're waiting until I start my career and can actually start bringing in some form of decent money. Also, it's amazing how many people want you to draw their comics but when you say you actually want real money for it you never hear from them again.

oh man, offbeat bride is such an awesome site. I'm glad I found it later in our planning, because I wanted to do everything! XDD

Warn Rowan that he'll get looks and comments from vendors if he helps out. :P Dan's very involved in our own wedding planning, and the nosier vendors always comment on it (and there's lots of nosy vendors in Tasmania!).

Don't shoot me, but I actually like that shade of lipstick. Unfortunately, I think it doesn't exactly suit her in this photo.

I think it might have helped if her eyes had been done up darker to try and balance out her face and take away some of the shock of her lips... and maybe a different shade for her hair. As it is, her face looks very washed out and dead, making those lips of hers sort of grab your eyes and shake them about in their sockets.

... the fact that she's pulling an extreme pout and putting more emphasis on her lips because of it doesn't help her either.

All in all, I think whoever did her makeup should have thought through the overall effect more. >_>;

Yeah I agree, I think it could have looked way better given those things you mentioned. But right now... SLUGS. D:
